Guided Journeys
What are Guided Journeys?
Guided journeys, with or without plant medicine, are a uniquely powerful meditation process that enable you to connect with your subconscious and access your own innate wisdom and inner healer.
This type of deep inner exploration enables you to notice stuck patterns of thought and outdated belief systems that no longer serve you. By observing your own inner world through this revelatory lens, you have the opportunity to forge new thought patterns and habits more in alignment with your true calling in life.
Plant medicines can be powerful allies in softening automatic defenses and enabling deeper states of consciousness. These are very potent medicines though, and when used for this type of deep inner work, it’s best to be in a carefully prepared setting designed specifically to support this type of exploration, and to work with a knowledgeable, experienced, and trusted guide to assist you throughout the experience.

Using Cannabis for Psychedelic Journeys
You may wonder why we use cannabis for psychedelic journeys – and question if that even “works.” Most people don’t realize that cannabis, when used intentionally and skillfully for deep inner exploration, is a powerfully transformative plant medicine on par with other psychedelics.
Cannabis journeys are highly ceremonial and reverential in nature, and completely different from “getting high” with friends. Recreational cannabis users are often amazed at how profound and enlightening these journeys can be, with one describing the difference as being like “a soul-stirring sea voyage compared to a casual sail around a lake.”
Some also mistakenly believe that cannabis journeys are a type of “journey lite” for newbies, however that’s not the case. Many seasoned journeyers use cannabis experiences to enrich and deepen their other work, as well as to assist in integration.
When cannabis is used ceremonially in this way, many report experiences comparable in depth and intensity to those induced by MDMA, Psilocybin, Ayahuasca, and even DMT. Similar to breathwork, it is often quite somatic, or body-oriented, and can be extremely effective in helping individuals process and release stuck emotions and trauma from their bodies.
“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.” – Marcel Proust
Potential Journey Benefits
While specific outcomes can never be guaranteed and individual experiences vary widely, participants often report that these journeys can facilitate deep personal insights, emotional healing, and expanded awareness. It’s also important to note that journey work should not be used to replace therapy.

Guided Journey Steps
Here’s what to expect with a guided journey.
1 Preparation
In the preparation stage, we’ll work together to help you clarify your intentions and desires for the journey.
We’ll explore any specific challenges you’re currently facing and discuss how they may show up during the experience.
We’ll spend time actively working with various aspects of yourself, or “parts,” to surface and address internal conflicts and ensure all parts feel seen, valued and welcome.
2 Journey
A carefully curated list of songs is played throughout the journey that is conducive to deep, internal work.
Journeys may include a variety of modalities, including guided meditations, mindful breathing practices, somatic awareness exercises, active “parts” work, therapeutic touch, energy work, and other.
The facilitator is with you throughout the experience to provide reassurance and actively support you in whatever ways are needed and appropriate. Journeys typically last from 2-6 hours.
3 Integration
Integration starts as soon as the journey has ended, and is the process of reflecting on, and extracting meaning from, the insights surfaced during the experience, and applying those insights into your day-to-day life.
Follow-up integration sessions support you in exploring the deeper meaning from your journey as you form new neural pathways and start to apply these learnings and make desired changes in your life.
You may choose to continue with additional periodic coaching sessions to support your ongoing development and growth as new insights unfold over time. Learn more about integration.

Guided Journey Options
Group
Individual
In-Person
Virtual
Guided Journeys can be done individually or in a group, and while most are done in-person, cannabis sessions can also be conducted virtually. It’s usually preferable for your initial session to be in-person, if possible, as this allows you to become familiar with the process in a more supported and immersive setting. After that, sessions can be done virtually, and choosing between in-person and virtual sessions depends on your personal preferences and logistical considerations.
